On arrival make your way to your preferred accommodation for the next 4 nights in anticipation of your Top End Wetland Short Break
A Corroboree Billabong Wetland Cruises coach will pick you up from your hotel to commence a 1 Day Wetland Experience. Enjoy commentary from your experienced guide as we make our way out to the beautiful Corroboree Billabong for a magnificent cruise on these pristine wetlands. The wetland is approximately a 90 minute drive from Darwin (105km) and en-route to the cruise make a stop at Window on the Wetlands or Fogg Dam Nature Reserve. On arrival at Corroboree Billabong board your vessel for an amazing 2.5 hour scenic cruise viewing a huge variety of birds, crocodiles and other wildlife in their natural environment. Learn interesting information about the wildlife of the region and enjoy lunch on the wetland surrounded by nature at its best. Tour concludes approximately 5:00pm, at which time hotel drop offs will commence.
Litchfield National Park Waterfalls
An AAT Kings coach will pick you up from your hotel for your transfer to 69 Mitchell Street, the departure point of your tour. At 7.20am join your coach to commence a full day tour to Litchfield National Park. Litchfield National Park contains several types of typical Top End habitats including lush monsoon forests, termite mounds, unusual rock formations, waterfalls and cascades. Follow the Stuart Highway via the township of Batchelor to Litchfield National Park where we will visit the main falls. First stop is Florence Falls, where you have the opportunity for a scenic and interpretive bush and monsoon vine forest walk. There is also the chance for a swim by making your way down the stairs to the plunge pool below. Travel on to Tolmer Falls for a magnificent view of the water cascading down to the deep waterhole at the base of the falls. Finally we visit Wangi Falls, with its large crystal clear pool, another relaxing spot for a swim. On the way back to Darwin we make a stop in at Howard Spring Nature Park, where you will have the chance to feed the Barramundi and Turtles. A great day for taking many fascinating photos, including the amazing stand of termite mounds. Lunch is included today. Tour concludes at approximately 6.00pm, at which time hotel drop offs will commence.

Late afternoon board a harbor cruise to relax and enjoy a magnificent Darwin sunset. Complimented beautifully with a delicious Chef prepared steak and wild caught seafood banquet. Off Train Experience at Coober Pedy
After breakfast this morning you’ll wake up and rub your eyes with disbelief as we pull into the middle-of-nowhere stop at Manguri.
Here, a friendly tour guide awaits ready to whisk you away for the day. Your destination – the sun-scorched opal mining capital of world, Coober Pedy, where more than half of the residents live underground.Venture into the tunnels and caves of this underground town, where you may even catch opal fever as you mine for riches, visit the otherworldly underground Serbian Orthodox church and take a glimpse of Umoona Opal Mine.
Below the earth’s surface, you’ll enjoy a gourmet lunch in the most unique of locations before setting off to the stunning outback moonscape that is the Breakaways.After an eye-opening action-packed day – if you haven’t chosen to stay and find your fortune – it’s back on board with plenty of time to ease into a slower gear and prepare yourself for your final evening onboard The Ghan.
