Today we head to Melbourne to enjoy our fantastic tennis experience. Departing your home town on the XPT or connecting NSW Trainlink coach, sit back and enjoy the views while being whisked away on the XPT to Melbourne. When we disembark from our train it is literally a two-minute walk to our accommodation being our home for the next six nights.

Following breakfast at the hotel we make our way by coach to Melbourne Park, the home of the Australian Open and the world’s premier tennis venue. While sharing the company of Wimbledon, The US Open and French Open, the Australian Open welcomes crowds of over 500 000 to the fun, festivities and action that only a Grand Slam Tennis Tournament can offer. Known as Australia’s Biggest Sporting event the Australian Open is a must for all sports and entertainment fans while the champions of Grand Slam tennis are brought to us!
Included in today’s entry is a reserved seat in the Margaret Court Arena so you can watch the highest seeds in the draw. This arena opened in 2015 making Melbourne Park and consequently the Australian Open the only grand slam with three roofed venues. Furthermore, Margaret Court Arena features a state-of-the-art retractable roof which is the fastest of its kind in the world. Lunch is at your own expense and you are free to wander the outside courts and watch all your favorite players in action, hence an exciting day will be had by all. A relaxed dinner at the hotel will top the day off perfectly!

Late morning, we once again transfer to Melbourne Park for another day session at the Margaret Court Arena. Lunch is at your own expenses hence you may like to wander the outside courts and search for the most interesting matches. Finally late afternoon we re-board the coach and return to our hotel. There are many excellent restaurants within walking distance of our hotel so why not gather a few friends and make a night of it?

A relaxed breakfast, we board the coach mid-morning to head, once again, to Melbourne Park for a full day at the 2018 Australian Open. Our morning session will be another exciting experience at Margaret Court Arena. Lunch is at our own expense and we are free to wander the outside courts either watching the matches or enjoying the entertainment on offer. This evening we take in the main match of the day on Rod Laver Arena’s centre court.

Today you have the option of having free day and attending the night session of the Tennis or having totally free day therefore with a night off from the tennis just to relax.
Since today is free there are many optional day tours available to enjoy the attractions.
While others are relaxing, late afternoon the passengers attending the evening session of tennis at Rod Laver Arena depart the Hotel. There are sure to be some fantastic battles at this stage, this is traditionally when you can witness one of the “matches of the tournament”!

Our final day in Melbourne, must be spent at the tennis, hence we have day session tickets to Rod Laver Arena, which we know our way around quite well by now. Dinner will be at the hotel tonight giving us a chance to get an early night so we are prepared for our early departure in the morning.

Finally saying goodbye to Melbourne ends a wonderful tennis Indulgence! We are walk across to Southern Cross Station early this morning to board our NSW TrainLink XPT heading home while sitting back and reminiscing the wonderful tennis.
