Visit the iconic St Peter’s Cathedral or the newly developed Adelaide oval and, for every chocolate lover, a visit to Haigh’s Chocolate for a factory tour and tasting. Lunch at your own expense before taking in the spectacular views of city and coastline from Adelaide’s highest peak – Mount lofty Summit. From here you wind through Adelaide Hills villages arriving for an afternoon of exploring Handorf, Adelaide’s oldest settlement before enjoying afternoon tea or aa traditional beer tasting at Hahndorf Inn.

Mighty Murray River
Depart Adelaide for the mighty Murray River. On arrival, board the Proud Mary and relax as you cruise the historic river taking in the wildlife and surrounding scenery. Enjoy lunch on board as you continue your journey on the river, gaining insight into the river system and unique landscapes of the region. Disembark for a land based tour of the River Murray taking in spectacular views with plenty of great photo opportunities, including the Mannum Lookout. Returning to Adelaide with stops at Melba’s Chocolate Factory and Woodside Cheese Wrights at Woodside.
Victor Harbor & McLaren Highlights
Today visit South Australia’s premier tourist region, the Fleurieu Peninsula. Beginning with a picturesque journey through Adelaide Hills to the historical Scottish settlement of Strathalbyn. Here you will stop for some free time and morning tea in High Street (own expense). Then on to the paddle steamer town of Goolwawith a brief town tour including the wharf, barrage and beach before continuing on past the charming coastal town of Port Elliot including Horseshoe Bay and a stop at Whale Lookout for a photo opportunity. Upon arrival at Victor Harbor, South Australia’s most popular seaside village, wander the main street, sampling the fresh local produce or explore Granite Island, home of the magical Little Penguins and maybe catch a glimpse of a Southern Right Whale during the winter months.
Enjoy a scenic trip through the Fleurieu Peninsula to Cape Jervis, boarding the Sealink ferry for the 45 minute crossing to Kangaroo Island. First stop is a guided tour at Emu Ridge Eucalyptus Distillery maybe purchase their Eucalyptus products. On to Vivonne Bay Bistro located on a bush property, for a two course lunch. Afterwards visit Seal Bay Conservation Park for a guided beach walk amongst a breeding colony of wild and rare Australian Sea Lions. Then on to the In-flight Birds of Prey Display, a delightful interactive experience with an array of birds and raptors. Travel to Kangaroo Island Wildlife Park where you can get up close with more of Australia’s unique animals and learn about endangered species and interact with snakes and reptiles.
Kangaroo Island – Adelaide
Your second day of touring begins with a visit to Clifford’s Honey Farm to enjoy an informative beekeeper talk followed by tastings and an opportunity to sample homemade honey ice-cream and beauty products. Followed by a two course lunch at Hanson Bay Visitor Centre Cafe. After lunch look for Koalas nestled up in the eucalypts and see an abundance of native birdlife in the wildlife sanctuary. From here, travel to the western most part of the Island, Flinders Chase National Park, one of Australia’s largest and earliest conservation parks. Enjoy breathtaking views of its unique trees, plants and coastal scenery. Then on to the rugged southern coastline for a walk around Remarkable Rocks and Admirals Arch with great photographic opportunities and stunning sea views. Admirals Arch boardwalk takes you down a rugged cliff face to reveal this spectacular arch, a natural nursery and safe haven for playful Long-nosed Fur Seals that can be seen swimming and playing in the waves, or resting on the rocks. Your tour concludes at Penneshaw where you board the Sealink ferry to Cape Jervis before connecting with the coach to Adelaide. Reaching your overnight accommodation at approximately 10:40pm.
